Two Red Bull planes fly through a hangar…A Sim-Fly Red Bull plane flies through two hangars!
In 2015 Steve Jones and Paul Bonhomme both flew their Red Bull racing aircraft through a hangar in formation – you can watch this amazing flying display in this VIDEO.
Not to be outdone, Harvey Pettengell, apprentice at Sim-Fly decided to fly through TWO hangars at Swanton Morley airfield in Norfolk in a Red Bull racer.
Oddly, at Swanton Morley in 1965 it is recorded in the annals that former RAF pilots Alf Warminger and Taffy Rich of the Norfolk & Norwich Aero Club also flew through a hangar in formation in a couple of Tiger Moths.
Here you can watch Harvey’s flight in a Red Bull racer from several different views:
Nice one Harvey – you ARE going to be fun to teach to fly; when you decide to begin!
John Hoyte, CEO of Sim-Fly has a personal connection with Steve Jones. John taught Steve instrument flying at Staverton Flying School, Gloucestershire in 1978 – they would meet up again in 2016 when Steve flew the Grace Spitfire with one of Sim-Fly’s new pilots.
